About us
Bruno & Amy
We mind your home to give you peace of mind.

We’re Amy and Bruno - the fellows behind NOMADSITTER.COM
To leave a stranger in your house can bring on a curious feeling, and we would like to put your mind at ease: we created this little website to help you to get to know us better.
Our story in a nutshell: we come from entrepreneurial backgrounds; for years we had lived the mad life of super-busy high achievers, with all the challenges of running a business and juggling multiple roles. Bruno owned a book publishing enterprise, and Amy had a landscape design/gardening business with over two thousand customers. Then came 'spring-break 2020' (better known as the Pandemic) and with it occurred an epiphany, which led to a full shift in perspective of what kind of life is worth to live. We decided to quit the 8-8 grind (yes, when it's your business, it's never 9-5!), and embarked on a mission to create a lifestyle based on the idea of 'Home is where they make you feel at home'.
We built a campervan (christened Saraghina of Fellini's avant-garde movie 81⁄2), and hit the road. It certainly was a tough one to leave it all behind - career, friends, family, country - for the unknown, but it proved to be the best move we could have ever made. Ever since we spend half the year in Great-Britain, and embrace the joie de la liberté during the winter months, travelling in Southern Europe with the uncomplicated strategy of 'Follow the sun!'
House sitting is part of our chosen lifestyle of full time travel/part time work. It was first created as an idea to 'go somewhere quiet' where Bruno can write in peace, and eventually turned into a business venture that combines house sitting with dog training and gardening jobs.
As it happens, Bruno is a qualified dog trainer, and Amy is a professional gardener.
Although we still learn the ropes, as every sit differs from the previous one, you could say we are an effective team: in two years we completed about thirty successful sits, ranging in length from three days to six weeks.
House sitting is so much more than looking after a property - we have developed lasting friendships, both with humans and animals.
For 2025, we have been booking sits in Portugal, France, Great Britain, Switzerland, Poland, and Greece.
